SMAP

The Automatic Idler Monitoring System (SMAP by its acronym in Spanish) is an advanced technological solution designed to anticipate and promptly detect the operating status of idlers in conveyor belts. It operates online, wirelessly, and requires very little maintenance. In addition, it includes a specialized module for pulley monitoring.

Among its measurement variables, the system uses temperature, vibration, and audio sensors, processing the data through proprietary algorithms that integrate Artificial Intelligence based on Deep Learning.

Multiple Wireless Monitoring Devices (DMIs by its acronym in Spanish) are installed directly on each conveyor belt station/idler to continuously monitor their operating status.

Access to information via mobile devices allows users to check the operational status of a conveyor belt from anywhere, at any time.

The system is compatible with any type of conveyor belt and provides online, real-time monitoring. Its innovative nature and high technological level are supported by patents registered in Chile and abroad.

ADVANTAGES

  • Greater availability of conveyor belts, resulting in increased production and higher revenues.
  • Optimization of resource management for idler replacement and maintenance.
  • Preventive maintenance instead of reactive, supporting proactive idler replacement management.
  • Early detection and assessment of issues, enabling more informed decisions through simultaneous monitoring of multiple belts, identification of critical zones, and prevention of infrastructure damage.
  • Reduced risks for personnel, by eliminating the need to physically walk along the conveyor.
  • Decrease in unplanned downtime, ensuring operational continuity.
  • Lower maintenance costs, through more efficient and preventive management.
  • Integrated monitoring of multiple belts under a single operating platform.

  • Autonomous, wireless monitoring devices with easy installation.
  • Wireless sensor network, with optional direct connection to the Cloud.
  • Centralized system located in the operations room.
  • Connected to the client’s internal network for analysis and management.
  • System visualization via web and mobile devices.
  • Applicable to any type of conveyor belt.
  • Online monitoring of conveyor belts.
  • User-configurable monitoring settings.
  • Mobile connectivity.
